Will Wagstaff
Will, originally from South Wales, came to live on the Isles of Scilly in 1981 after many years of holidaying here.
He first started leading guided wildlife walks on Scilly in 1985. Since then he has led tours to many parts of the world, including several destinations in southern Europe, North Africa, South America and most recently Antarctica. The Falkland Islands are his most frequented destination. In 2001 he wrote the first guidebook to the Falklands, Falkland Islands: The Bradt Travel Guide.
Will spent 8 years as Conservation Officer and guide for the Islands' Environmental Trust (now Wildlife Trust) before returning to full time tour leading with his own business, Island Wildlife Tours.
Standing down after 13 years in the role of bird recorder, Will is currently the Honorary President and Chairman of the Isles of Scilly Bird Group.
Will now delights in sharing his love and knowledge of Scilly's natural history with hundreds of visitors each year.
